The activity marked the International Year of Physics 2005, and was organized by The Romanian Parliament, The Horia Hulubei National Institute for Nuclear Physics and Technology, The Romanian Space Agency ROSA, The National Branch of UNESCO, and the Center for Complexity Studies,
and initiated by private media companies Alpha TV, Radio Bucuresti, and Radio 3Net.
The discussions outlined the importance of government support for fundamental research, and the need for specific legislation facilitating private investment in science and technology.
