Between 15 and 20 July 2007, the Transylvanian resort of Sovata will host an international conference/workshop on complex systems, co-organized by the CCS.

Big names such as A.-L. Barabasi, T. Vicsek, L. Chua, R. Sole, and S. Havlin, will honor the event.

The Center for Complexity Studies recently celebrated 10 years of existence!

The CCS contributed the presentation “Complexity and Legal Physics” to an event organized by Transparency International – Romania at the Palace of Parliament. The meeting was dedicated to raising awareness about the indirect and sometimes counterintuitive effects of legislation on criminality in Romania.

CSC launched the seminar series!

These weekly meetings of the CCS workgroup are held every wednesday from 10:00 to 13:00 hours at the CCS office in the Bucharest Polythechnic. More details here.

Dr. Florin Munteanu successfully represented the CCS at the International Conference e-Challenges 2006 in Barcelona. The conference was a networking event in preparation for the launch of the FP7 research funding program from the European Commission.

Dr. Stefan Gheorghiu is the winner of a NATO Reintegration Grant, with the project titled “Advanced signal processing for feature extraction from geophysical data”. The study will be conducted within CCS, over a perieod of three years. We are proud to announce this as a success for our “Brain Regain” initiative. More details here.
